This stage adaptation is based on the timeless swashbuckler by Alexandre Dumas, a tale of heroism, treachery, close escapes and, above all, honor. On a quest to seek his fortune and become one of the king's Royal Musketeers, the young and impulsive D'Artagnan encounters duels, intrigue, murder, treachery, and love. An epic tale of betrayal, swashbuckling, and fun. Actors in this workshop will learn a good deal about stage combat!
This workshop is scheduled to begin Saturday, March 17, 2018, with auditions. All registered youth are guaranteed a place in the cast. You will be contacted to schedule an audition time when your registration is confirmed. If your actor cannot attend on this date, please make arrangements in advance for a private audition. We welcome new "techies" also, but available crew positions are few. If you are registering someone who wishes to serve as a technician, please contact us first to be certain space is available.
Rehearsals for production workshops are scheduled with participants' schedules in mind. You will be asked for a list of date and time conflicts after you register, and you can make changes to that list up to March 17th. We ask that, once the schedule reflecting these blackout dates is completed, you and your actor commit to attendance at all scheduled rehearsals. Unexcused absences may mean the loss of a role. The only days which are absolutely mandatory are the rehearsals during Tech Week, (for this show, May 14 through 17, 2018), and the performances.
Six performances of The Three Musketeers will take place over two weekends at the Black Box Arts Center: May 18 through 27, 2018. (Fridays at 7:00 pm; Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 pm).
To confirm your place, fill out the registration form and pay online or mail us a check. Either way, once payment is received, your child's place in the workshop is confirmed.
